C'est peu après 21h00 heure locale que Jason Leffler, surnommé LefTurn par ses pairs, a a été prononcé mort. La NASCAR a présenté ses condoléances à la famille du pilote. À Pocono dimanche dernier Jason Leffler prenait part à sa première course de la saison en Sprint Cup, sa soixante-troisième et dernière dans la catégorie.
